About Paige

"This is the year I will be stronger, braver, kinder, and unstoppable.
This year I will be fierce."

Those of you that know me well know that I like to live fiercely.  When I set myself out to do something that I love, I throw myself into it with all my energy.  In my early high school years, it was quickly apparent that skiing was going to be something I loved.  I came home from the first few practices freshman year and announced to my parents that the reason I hadn't enjoyed our family's leisurely back-country skiing was because we "hadn't been going fast enough".  I was enamored by the skiing community and I thrived at practice with my teammates and friends. Luckily enough, I attended a high school with an extremely competitive nordic program (Wayzata) built by some very talented and attentive coaches.

I started training with summer programs and clubs (Minneapolis Ski Club and FAST Performance Training) and senior year of high school I began racing Junior National qualifiers. I qualified for and raced at Junior Nationals in Rumford, Maine, a week that proved to me that skiing was something I wanted to pursue in college.  I raced for the St. Olaf College team for four years and completed a psychology major with a management concentration. The college experience truly shaped me as a competitive athlete and a person, and the lessons I learned from collegiate training, traveling, and racing are incredibly valuable.

I decided this senior year of college that chasing down my dream of becoming a professional skier was something I wanted more than anything, and with a year of skiing for Sun Valley under my belt, I'm more convinced than anything that this was the right choice.  I don't know just where this road will take me, but I couldn't have gotten here without the unwavering support of my family, friends, teammates, and coaches, so thank you for making this real.
